I'm here during my off weeks at my parent's and not much is going on, unfortunately. My two weeks in Spain were absolutely wonderful... a huge cultural lesson for me, not to mention a review in some Spanish vocab I quickly forgot after high school. Overall I took 1.5GB of photos there, so you can understand when I say I've been having to clear out my hard drive a little, haha! Attempts at cleaning a mass folder of unsorted photos have been rather slow. Recently I also photographed an old friend's wedding (I was not "the" wedding photographer so I had to stay out of the way, but I got some nice shots), which means I have plenty of things to post. Yesterday I updated my Flickr account, so check that out if you can. Photos from Spain will be going up there next once they are completely sorted.

Other than that, I went to an amazing Jenny Lewis concert this last Tuesday and have been doing quite a bit of reading. I've read two Dan Savage books and am working on catching up on my comics while starting a professional website. It seems my knowledge of web codes is still very lacking... there's not much done but it's at least going in a direction I like. In the end, I'm planning to have a website for my photos, and a separate one for all my design work. Hopefully when the fall semester rolls around, my website will be near completion and I can start advertising the hell out of myself in Austin. Apparently, all it takes to be "professional" is having a website with your name in the url... so that's what I'm doing!

I won't survive here for another two months, so I've planned a few days of camping in Arkansas and then I'm headed to San Francisco with a friend on July 31st. We are meeting people there and driving back to Colorado where myself and my bestie we're joining with will be dropped off with her parents for a couple days (maybe camp up in the mountains, I hope). After that, the two of us are planning to drive back to Texas because she's moving to Austin with me, yay!! I'm very excited! As soon as that's finished, I'm packing up to move into my new apartment.

A busy summer, indeed... I'm taking advantage of my time!
